Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear?

Wear something comfortable and loose. You may have to get undressed so your osteopath can perform a thorough assessment. You are more than welcome to bring some shorts and a vest to change into.

Where can I park?

You can park free of charge on the following roads: Main Avenue, Second and Third Avenues. You can park for up to an hour on East Parade or Bull Lane (before 2pm). There are limited spaces in East Parade Car park.

Do you accept Health Insurance?

Your osteopathic treatment is covered by all health insurance companies, such as AXA PPP, WPA, Norwich Union, HSA and LHF (with the exception of BUPA). If you have any queries about insurance, please ask.

If your insurance is provided by AXA PPP, please make sure you book to see Jacqui or Ross.

How soon can I get an appointment?

As a busy practice, we have three osteopaths working a variety of days and times to suit your needs. We try to see new patients as soon as possible, quite often within a few days of contacting us. You can call the practice on 01904 431335, please leave a voicemail if necessary or email

Do you have any weekend appointments available?

The practice is open Monday- Friday only but we do run early evening clinics on Wednesdays and Thursdays to accommodate everyone.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

If you are unable to make your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible so that we are able to cancel it or re-schedule for another time.

We are often heavily booked and have people waiting for a cancellation. Failing to arrive for an appointment often deprives someone else of the appointment who is in pain and needs treatment.

We reserve the right to charge the full fee for appointments not attended and 50% for appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice.
